Hopkins offers its best conditions from November through August, with sunny days, calm sea waters, and moderate temperatures providing ideal travel conditions. January tends to be the driest month while July sees its most rain.

But even with some rain in the forecast, Hopkins remains ideal for exploring everything it has to offer. Hopkins is conveniently situated close to Mayflower Bocawina National Park where you can swim at the base of a jungle-covered cascade waterfall or hike through the rainforest to visit ancient Maya ruins.

Weather Conditions in Hopkins: Plan your Trip

Hopkins provides an ideal base from which to explore Belize, whether for short stays or extended vacations. Hopkins Belize Weather: What to Expect Year Round

Hopkins enjoys a tropical climate with high temperatures and significant precipitation throughout the year. June to September tend to be Hopkins’ hottest months when air is typically warm and drier compared to other months of the year and weather is often sunny and clear.

The rainy season typically runs from May through November, with October typically being the wettest month. There is usually an intermediate period known as “norte season” between these periods that features strong northerly winds that bring squalls and heavy downpours – known as nortes – which marks an occasional return of stormy conditions with rainstorms and even thundershowers.

Even during the driest times of year, you can still enjoy a Hopkins Belize vacation if you plan for and are open to rain. A few drizzly days won’t ruin your trip and may actually provide much-needed relief from the hot sun!
